STENCILING

Stenciling can help you create personalized art, whether you're painting a mural, re-designing a piece of furniture, decorating a T-shirt, breathing new life into a dingy floor or just advertising for a garage sale.

Stencils can be used with paint applied from a brush, an airbrush or spray-paint. Paint words, letters, a child's name or any other sentiment on a wall or door. Compliment your driveway or outdoor patio with designs for concrete floors, wood floors or on a rug. Frost a mirror or window. So, as you can see, the stenciling ideas are unlimited!

Before we get carried away…are you looking for some Stencil Painting tips or Stenciling Instructions that will help you with getting clean lines or good color selection? No worries! We’ve got you covered.

If you are a beginner or even if you've dabbled with stenciling before but want to brush up on your technique, head over to How to Stencil for all the details.

Maybe you've thought about painting stencils on the walls but have you ever considered creating Stencil Art Prints. (Like those below!) Well, it's much easier to paint on paper than on the wall itself and if you want something different you only have to change the painting and not re-paint the wall.

Plus, by Combining Stencil Designs for Art Prints you can create complex paintings not just the simple wall borders that we usually associate with stencils. For example the prints above were designed using stencils for the cranes, bamboo and each of the Chinese Symbols.

The start of any project starts with a plan, right? In art, that means a theme. Learn how to find and pair together the right stencil patterns at Capturing Themes in Stencil Art Prints!
